About PressRefit

A web agency for the site you already own.

PressRefit exists because too many businesses are pushed toward a brand-new website when the real problem is neglect, accumulated technical debt or nobody taking responsibility for improvement.

The belief

Diagnose first. Then earn the intervention.

Websites are business assets, not disposable design exercises. If the platform, content and structure underneath still have value, a good agency should be capable of working with them.

That is the idea behind the name PressRefit: repair what is broken, modernise what has fallen behind and keep operating the result so it does not slide backwards.

Sometimes the correct answer is still a rebuild. The difference is that it should be the result of diagnosis — not the default sales pitch.

Owner-led

Oscar Edwards
Founder, PressRefit

PressRefit is a small, owner-led WordPress practice based in Milton Keynes. You deal directly with the person responsible for diagnosing the site, shaping the work and making sure the result holds together.

That deliberately keeps the chain of responsibility short: fewer hand-offs, clearer decisions and no sales team disappearing once the work starts.

01 / LESS WASTE

Keep useful foundations.

Do not recreate working functionality, content or infrastructure simply because starting over is easier to sell.

02 / MORE OWNERSHIP

One accountable partner.

Design, WordPress health and ongoing operation should connect rather than disappearing into separate suppliers.

03 / CLEAR JUDGEMENT

Explain the trade-offs.

You should know what is changing, what is staying and why — including when the sensible answer is to leave something alone.

Who we are for

WordPress support from Milton Keynes, without the agency runaround.

PressRefit is based in Milton Keynes and built primarily for UK SMEs with an existing WordPress site that matters to the business but does not justify hiring a full-time web team. For local businesses, see our WordPress support in Milton Keynes.

A good fit usually sounds like

“The website works, but it looks and feels behind.”
“Our old agency built it and nobody really owns it now.”
“Small changes always turn into a project.”
“I do not know which plugins or integrations are actually necessary.”
“We need it performing better, not necessarily replacing.”
